Radiofrequency radiation, which is found in mobile devices, routers for wifi and wireless baby monitors, poses a serious danger to health for children and research in recent times has confirmed this risk.

Cancer is caused by exposure to radiofrequency (RF).
Exposure to radio frequency (RF) radiation can cause serious health issues. Animal studies suggest that exposure to RF could cause cancer. Human studies have also linked radiation exposure to lowered levels of sperm count, headaches and other health concerns. The exposure to RF causes infertility
Fields of electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMFs) can cause infertility due to changes in the parameters of sperm and the ovary. They affect the metabolism of cells and DNA, and may also trigger DNA instability. Furthermore, these fields may alter hormones and protein kinases. These effects can affect the reproduction system. are different according to the time of exposure.


Numerous studies have investigated the effect of RF exposure on fertility in humans. Some studies have shown a link between exposure to RF-EMFs as well as male infertility. But more research is needed to determine if RF EMFs are causing male infertility.

Researchers have found out radiation-induced electromagnetic fields (RF-EME) may cause abnormal sperm. In the RF-EME environment, DNA damage is oxidative in spermatozoa. This results in DNA fragmentation. The fragmentation was detected using the halo assay, which detects a halo-like structure. This test showed a tiny, but substantial increase the amount of DNA fragmentation in RF exposed spermatozoa. These findings were further confirmed using an alkaline comet assay.

Sperm viability was also decreased in response to RF EME. Testes and epididymides were collected from mice exposed to the electromagnetic field for one to five weeks. Spermatozoa were analyzed using computer assisted semen analysis (CASA). Cells were stained with an eosin-exclusion stain, and the cellular activity of spermatozoa was examined using computer-aided semen analysis. Spermatozoa were collected from five to twelve animals per group.

Infertility caused by RF is common for children
Recent research has shown that exposure to RF in children can cause infertility. Particularly, exposure to RF-EMF is detrimental to sperm parameters. It has also been associated with genotoxicity, genomic instability, and oxidative stress. This raises the need to reduce exposure to EMFs from radiofrequency.
